In this class, we don’t do easy
We make easy happen through
Hard work and learning

Welcome! I am so excited to be your teacher this year. I felt that sharing a little about myself would be informative for you, as I am fairly new to Aledo.
My family and I moved to Aledo last year from Billings, MT for my husband’s job.  My husband, Dan, and I have been married for 17 years and we have 4 children.  Danny, is a 16 year old junior at AHS. Grace, 14, is a cheerleader and in 9th grade.  Eli, 12, is a 7th grader at AMS.  Mary Kate, 8, is in 2nd grade at Stuard.  In 17 years we have lived in 5 states and moved 13 times, but Aledo is  our last move.
I went to the University of Texas at Austin, although I grew up in Seattle. I love running, reading and going to antique malls. Although this is my first year to teach 3rd grade, my previous experience is teaching Kindergarten .
The saying at the top of the page is my class motto .  I want each student to leave my class with a love of learning. Learning happens through hard work, perseverance and a willingness to allow mistakes to be a learning opportunity.
It is going to be a great year!
